A Bikeable Feast

Enjoy a light 90 minute bike tour through North Brooklyn’s most scenic waterfront neighborhoods then conclude at a private four-course, outdoor, organic dinner, cooked by a professional chef complete with wine and desserts.

Get Up and Ride has partnered with a local farm and a professional chef to bring you the best end to your day in Brooklyn, A Bikeable Feast. The ride will show guests hidden urban parks and expansive waterfront sunset vistas from Williamsburg to Greenpoint, and will end at a tiny organic farm near the base of the Williamsburg bridge. Upon arrival at the farm, guests are greeted by seasoned private chef Shane McGarvey, for a 4-course meal all prepared en plein air and on a wood fire grill. McGarvey has developed his honest, flavorful, and adventurous cooking style over years working with seasonal, local, innovative ingredients, and letting their natural flavors shine through in his deft yet minimalist style.

This urban excursion is perfectly suited for the adventures foodie who has seen enough of tired restaurants, and wants to take their evening to a new level of multi-sensorial appreciation.

  • What do you mean by bike skill level? Open/Close

Our top priority at Get Up and Ride is to ensure safety while having fun. Our Bike Skill Level index is a way for YOU to gauge how comfortable you’ll be riding on any particular tour. The more skill required the more comfortable you should feel riding on city streets. Novice is the easiest followed by Intermediate then Experienced. An Experienced Skill Level generally means you should feel comfortable riding on less bike lanes through more industrial neighborhoods and experiencing a little more traffic on streets with more potholes. Bike lanes and cycling infrastructure have come a long way in the last couple of years but there’s still work to do. Our guides will provide commentary and direction throughout the ride to ensure safety and let you know where we’re going and how we’re going to do it. Still not sure? Contact us and we’ll happily answer any additional questions!
